Sixth Annual Walk-A-Thon and Family Fun Day to Benefit Community Connections
Fairhaven, MA – Community Connections will be hosting the sixth annual Walk-A-Thon and Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 21st at the Fairhaven Day Center and the Fairhaven Bike Path. This event benefits adults with disabilities in eight program centers on the South Coast, South Shore, and the Cape. Teams from all the centers will be walking and raising money for their respective locations.
“This annual walk raises funds that go directly back into the local programs to benefit the people we serve through specialized care, unique therapies, and community activities. All these services help our clients meet their goals and enjoy more independence,” said Donna Sabecky, the founder and President/CEO of Community Connections.
Once again, the event will be held at the Fairhaven Community Connections Center, located at 10 David Drown Boulevard, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the walk kicks-off at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided for all walkers and supporters. There is no registration fee, and participants will receive a t-shirt. Fun Day activities will run concurrently with an open house, carnival games, and more. This event will be held rain or shine.
