Donna Sabecky founded Community Connections in 1985 after an accident left her confined to a wheelchair for six months. She became aware of the unique needs encountered by people with disabilities and the lack of adequate services to meet those needs. Since then Community Connections has grown to serve 700 clients that receive comprehensive services in day habilitation, life skills, employment and transportation.
She is actively involved in State and Federal Disability and Health Care policy reform. She sits on several boards; and has held several officer positions with the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers, Cape Cod Disabilities Network and the Massachusetts Council on Human Service Providers. She regularly meets with Government Commissioners, State, and Federal Legislators to discuss disability issues.
Donna is a volunteer board member and Professional Associate at the Gestalt International Study Center. She holds a Masters degree in Business and Industry from Lesley College’s School of Management. Post Graduate Studies include Harvard Business School seminars, Gestalt International Study Center Programs, Executive Management, Mediation and Negotiation training.
