My Experience at Community Connections by Nicole Cummings

I have been at CCI for 11 years; I started out at the Day Hab where they would take me out to do lots of fun things like going to lunch, bowling, and finally the park. I met lots of nice staff some of them dont work at Community Connections anymore but I like the fact that I am able to stay in contact with the other staff members.

My Experience at Community Connections by Max Manning

I have been at Community Connections for three years. The program I participate in at CCI is the Yarmouth Life Skills program. When I was interested in the program I visited for a half a day and really enjoyed being there so I then waited to be accepted and when I was I was so happy to begin my journey at CCI.

Walkathon 2011

Our centers raised over $14,000 to support disability programming! Thank you to all our walkers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff for making this event such a success!

Gala by the Sea 2011

Thanks to the generous support of our donors and the hard work of all our volunteers, we raised over $70,000 at our Gala by the Sea on Friday, October 28, 2011.

A proposed $5 million a year annual cut to day habilitation programs was scheduled to take effect March 15. The overall 4.1 percent budget cut would affect day habilitation services provided by organizations like Community Connections across the Commonwealth.

Community Connections Awarded OSHA Grant

Community Connections received an $18,000 grant from OSHA for safety training for clients who are employed in community-based jobs and the staff who support them.

Five Clients Earn MDDC Self-Advocacy Certificate

Five Community Connections Clients successfully completed the MDDC Self-Advocacy Leadership Course and were awarded their certificates on March 3rd.
